Ambidexter hail from the fertile Fremantle live music scene and their debut album comes out in July 2008.
Ambidexter’s style can be described as; ‘Bowie meets Kate Bush at Depeche Mode’s Massive Attack tribute party with Lamb and the Presets supporting’ Ambidexter made their mark early with their unique blend of ’band meets motherboard’ live musicianship...
Ambidexter’s early demos occupied not one but three spots in Triple J’s ‘unearthed’ electronic charts for weeks, at one time having three of the top five positions including no’s 1, 3, and 5... Don’t call them ‘electro’ though...their sound is much more than such a shallow definition allows.

Ambidexter ‘ambidexter’ (album out july 2008) http://www.myspace.com/ambidexter http://www.triplejunearthed.com.au/ambidexter The Takers consist of T-Mac and Sound Of Sam (S.O.S.)
They are a blend of big break-beats and basslines, bangin’ grooves, fat funky grabs...with a barrel of tricks to boot! On stage they mix it up live with guitars, decks, samplers, FX, drums, and on the mic...all enhanced with some modern day wizardry. Triggering samples, re-mixing on the spot, playing the grooves, and breaking some beats. The Takers rock it with a bed of break-beats and bits drawn from the world of funk, soul, electro and hip hop - creating serious party action with some seriously funky tunes! The takers in their various incarnations have played at every large festival in W.A., and their vinyl only releases have sold thousands world wide, winning them fans from heavyweight artists such as Plump Dj’s and Fort Knox Five. The Takers have many more vinyl releases on the way plus a crackin’ artist album in late 2008. Playing at 'Major Break' Saturday 27th July @ Ambar.
